Therapy for Anxiety

in Austin, TX

Find comfort from within.

It feels like nothing is consistent. Nothing is permanent… not your relationships, your home, your work.

You know you need to find a way to trust your decision. To feel confident in yourself and your abilities.

You want to be comfortable with the way you are in the world. You’re just not sure how to make that happen.

You spend a lot of time wishing things were different. Clearer. Better. You’d love to get outside your own head, to stop worrying. Stop stressing about what others think of you. You want your mind to just stop, and be calm. But that doesn't happen.

It feels like nothing is consistent. Nothing is permanent. You can’t settle down…in your relationships, in your home, in your work. You’re exhausted.

You need help...and the free, stress-relief apps you’ve tried just aren’t cutting it.

I get it. I’ve been where you are.

I was in my midlife;  unhappy, dissatisfied, and distressed. I felt shame for not being grateful for my “good” life. My friends and family didn't help. They only reinforced that feeling of shame. So, I decided to see a counselor for the first time. It was one of the most difficult things I’ve ever done. It was also one of the most courageous and rewarding.

Therapy changed my life. It could change yours too.

Maybe you’ve tried therapy before. Maybe you’re new to it. Maybe you’re curious to know what happens in anxiety therapy?

I’m here to help. I'm a clinical social worker with 13 years of experience. I'm a life-long learner and am trained in numerous methods. This allows me to craft an anxiety therapy session to your needs.

One of the methods I'm certified in is the Daring Way™. I find it to be an excellent starting-off point for anxiety therapy.

The Daring Way™ is an empirically based training and certification program for helping professionals, based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. The work focuses on courage building, shame resilience, and uncovering the power of vulnerability.

I take a relational, casual approach to anxiety therapy. The methods I’m trained in are simply a guide.

I understand that every client has different needs. That there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to anxiety counseling.

That’s why I’ve spent my career building up a knowledge of methods that work. I weave them into sessions as I go.

I truly believe you are unique. Your therapy experience should be too.

If you’re here, you’re serious about starting anxiety therapy. But you might be wondering “what kind of therapist should I see for anxiety?”

The answer depends on you, your personality, and your needs. You want to work with a professional. One who's trained in anxiety therapy methods.  But you also want a therapist who gets you and helps you reach your goals.

If you think I could be that therapist, let's find out! Sign up for a free, 15-minute consultation.

I’d love to work with you! To create an anxiety counseling experience that’s as unique as you are.
