You’re feeling lonely, isolated, and stuck.

Your mind won’t stop racing. Each day is a battle. It’s a battle to hide your pain. To be someone who has it all together… and you feel like you are about to break.

You’ve tried so many things…

Maybe you went to therapy in the past.
You’ve downloaded apps for meditation and health.
You started a fitness routine.
You tried talking to friends.

But nothing works to give you inner calm. Nothing makes it easy for you to live in your body. Just as you are. You still struggle to accept yourself. It is hard to let others see the real you. You’re reluctant to be truly honest. To ask for help.

It’s time to push through and move forward. It’s time to dig deep. It’s time for you to heal.

I’m a licensed clinical social worker with the skills to help you do just that.

I help people work through their past and how it impacts their life today. Your life experience is unique and you need a therapist with methods that work. You get my expertise, as I guide you through coping. Therapy with me is always tailored to your needs.

Free yourself from the judgments of others. Learn to trust your inner voice. Bring more calm into every day.

Questions About Types of Trauma Counseling

What is somatic therapy?

You know that feeling you experience when someone startles you? Your heart beats faster, your eyes get wide and you tense up. Your body reacts before you can process or think about what’s happening.

When you experience trauma or chronic anxiety, your body feels it. Your body holds on to these experiences. Your mind tries to push them away. That is the focus of somatic experiencing therapy - the connection of your mind and body.

This means you can work through trauma without talking through the whole experience. We’ll use the way your body naturally reacts as a way to tell your story. We’ll then teach your body new ways of coping.

how does accelerated resolution therapy (ART) work?

ART is another type of trauma therapy. ART helps you reprogram memories associated with your trauma. The goal is that certain people, places, or memories will no longer trigger a traumatic response. This is helpful for all kinds of trauma, including PTSD.

One benefit of ART is that you do not have to talk about the trauma. We can work together so that you react differently to your memories. They will no longer have power over your emotions and your reactions. You’ll be the one in control.
